COMMENT POLICY
ProFuture Accounting Academy Inc.
Effective Date: April 20, 2026
ProFuture Accounting Academy Inc. operates a private community, course discussion forums, blog comment sections, social-media accounts, and Q&A spaces (collectively, the “Community”). Our Community exists to support Canadian tax, accounting, and small-business professionals in learning, asking questions, and growing together. This Comment Policy sets out the rules of engagement and explains how we moderate submissions.
Our Community is for professional education and peer support. It is not a substitute for tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice specific to your situation or your clients. Please verify any information against current CRA guidance, CPA Canada Handbook standards, and applicable legislation before acting on it.
1. Who Can Participate
Participation in the Community is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and who have an active, paid membership, course enrolment, or other authorised access. You must use your real name (first name and last initial is acceptable) and a valid email address. You may not create multiple accounts, share your account, or impersonate any other person.
2. Expected Standards of Conduct
We expect all members to uphold the following standards in every post, reply, direct message, or interaction:
- Be respectful, professional, and assume good faith
- Keep discussions on-topic (tax, accounting, practice management, CRA, business, or the specific course)
- Anonymize all client information before posting — never share SIN, HST, BN, dates of birth, or identifying details of any real person
- Cite sources when quoting CRA, CPA Canada, or third-party content
- Welcome newcomers, different skill levels, and differing professional opinions
- Use clear subject lines so others can search past discussions
3. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate moderation, content removal, and/or termination of Community access without refund:
- Personal marketing, product selling, or solicitation of other members’ clients, staff, or referrals
- Recruitment messaging to other members for your own practice, MLM, or commercial venture
- Unsolicited personal messaging to any member, including (without limitation) female members — we operate a zero-tolerance policy
- Harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, or personal attacks
- Discrimination, hate speech, or content attacking any protected group (as defined under the Canadian Human Rights Act or the Ontario Human Rights Code)
- Profanity, obscene content, pornographic content, or sexually explicit material
- Sharing real client names, SINs, HST/BN numbers, financials, bank account details, credit card details, or other personally identifiable information
- Posting confidential, proprietary, or privileged information belonging to any employer, client, or third party without consent
- Sharing Academy course recordings, workbooks, templates, or proprietary content with non-members or on public platforms
- Copyright or trademark infringement
- Spam, chain posts, off-topic promotions, or excessive self-linking
- Encouraging or advising on tax evasion, fraud, or any other illegal activity
- Providing specific tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice to any member without holding the appropriate professional licence and engagement letter — general education is welcome; personal client advice is not
- Disparaging the Academy, its instructors, staff, clients, or other members
- Automated posting, scraping, or use of AI agents to extract Community content
4. Moderation and Enforcement
All submissions are subject to review by our moderation team. We reserve the absolute right to edit, delay, hide, delete, or decline any submission at our sole discretion, with or without notice and with or without reason. Typical moderation actions include:
- First minor violation — private warning and content removal
- Repeat or moderate violations — temporary suspension from the Community (7 to 30 days)
- Serious violation (harassment, client-data leak, recording theft, threats, illegal content) — immediate permanent ban
- Fraudulent chargeback after violation — permanent ban + referral to collections
We do not refund membership, course, or community fees to members whose access is terminated for violating this Comment Policy.
5. Responsibility for Your Content
You are solely responsible for any content you submit. By posting in the Community, you represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the right to share the content
- The content does not violate any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or confidentiality
- The content complies with all applicable laws, professional-conduct rules, and this Policy
- The content does not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code
6. Licence to Use Your Content
By submitting content to the Community, you grant ProFuture Accounting Academy Inc. a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Academy and its Services, including anonymized use in marketing, training, and case studies. You retain ownership of your content, but we need this licence to run the Community.
If you do NOT want your post or question to be featured in Academy marketing or training, please indicate “Please do not share externally” at the top of your submission.
7. Not Professional Advice
Comments, answers, and discussions in the Community are shared for educational and peer-support purposes only. Nothing in the Community constitutes tax, accounting, legal, financial, or professional advice. Posts by ProFuture Academy instructors, staff, or other members do NOT create an accountant-client, CPA, bookkeeper, or fiduciary relationship. You must verify any information with a licensed professional in your jurisdiction before acting on it.
8. Reporting Violations
To report a violation, harassment, inappropriate message, or a member who is contacting others outside the Community in an unwelcome manner, please email [email protected] with:
- The member’s name or username
- Where the conduct occurred (channel, thread, DM, etc.)
- A description of what happened
- Screenshots or evidence, where available
Reports are handled confidentially to the extent possible given the nature of the investigation.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Comment Policy from time to time to reflect operational learnings, legal requirements, or new Community features. Updates take effect upon posting. Your continued participation in the Community after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
